83 Movie Review: It is said in the world of media that three ‘C’ always grab the attention of the people. These are- Cricket, Cinema and Crime. Ranveer Singh of director Kabir Khan The starrer film ’83’ has brought a great combination of cricket and cinema. Although many Bollywood films have been made on cricket, but ’83’ proved that there is still a lot of scope in this genre. Director Kabir Khan has told many emotional stories on screen before, but for the first time in 1983 Cricket World Cup (1983 Cricket World cup) Kabir Khan has added another jewel to his crown by telling this story of the team that brought them to the country. If you have been looking for a good film to return to the cinema halls for a long time, then your search will definitely end with ’83’.
story: This is the story of the Indian cricket team of that era when this team was known only for losing. Leave aside the world during the 1983 Cricket World Cup, the people of their own country did not think that this team would be able to stand anywhere in the World Cup. In that era, by defeating the West Indies team, which had won the Cricket World Cup three times, the first feat of bringing the Cricket World Cup to India was done. Captain Kapil Dev and his team has. of the same underdog team The film ’83’ is the story of becoming a world champion.
The real work of cinema is to entertain and any such film, whose story you know, whose climax you know, does not have a suspense factor in it. In such a situation, the biggest success of such a film is to keep the audience glued to the chair even after knowing everything, and director Kabir Khan’s film is doing this very well. There are tremendous emotions in the film which will force you to feel tears of sorrow and sometimes pride. Ranveer Singh may be the hero in this film, but this story is not only of Ranveer Singh, but of the entire team.
Ranveer Singh will be seen in the role of Kapil Dev in ’83.
The best thing about the movie is that It neither shows only cricket nor only emotional drama Focuses on, but it has everything in just the right amount. Nothing like motivational speech or ‘only captain is the hero’ has been shown for victory through dialogues anywhere. Clippings of the original match have also been shown in some scenes in between, which make you realize again and again that you are actually watching the 1983 World Cup match.
Speaking of acting Ranveer Singh is seen in the role of cricketer Kapil Dev in this film. But within minutes of the film starting, you will forget that you are watching Ranveer on screen. It can be gauged from this that Ranveer has hit a tremendous short of acting in ’83. Ranveer has incorporated everything from Kapil Dev’s body language to his diction, his style. Ranveer once again proved that he is one of the best actors of this era.
Everyone in the team has done a tremendous job.
But not only Ranveer has done all this alone, but his team has also given him full support. Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Jeeva, Ammy Virk, Hardy Sandhu have been brilliant in whatever frame they appear in. Whereas PR Man Singh became the team manager. Pankaj Tripathi, have been brilliant in the film. His presence on the screen will bring a smile on your face. Deepika Padukone She enters in the second half, but in whatever scene she has appeared, she has looked very beautiful.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be seen as husband and wife in ’83.
The music of the film further helps in increasing its pace. This story shows a lot and if you are also one of them like me, who has only heard the story of India becoming world champion in 1983 and did not live it, then believe me, this film will give you a chance to live that moment again. . 4 stars to this film from my side.
